Loom – Screen Recorder & Screen Capture is a Chrome extension from Atlassian that records your screen, camera and microphone and uploads the video for instant link sharing. The free Starter plan allows up to 25 videos per person, 5 minutes each.
Explaining a bug or walking a colleague through a design often takes less time on video than in writing. Loom records your screen and face, uploads the video as you go and gives you a link to share when you stop.
What you can do
- Record: Screen, camera, microphone and internal audio, separately or together, in 720p up to 4K.
- Share instantly: Videos are saved to the cloud and a link is ready when you finish.
- Get feedback: Viewers can leave time-stamped comments and emoji reactions; you get notified when someone watches, reacts or comments.
- Control access: Choose who can see each video.
- Organize: Keep videos in your Loom library, upload Zoom and Google Meet recordings, and tag videos with hashtags.
Loom videos display directly in Slack and Microsoft Teams, and Loom also has iOS and Android apps.
Plans
Loom’s pricing page lists a free Starter plan with up to 25 videos per person and screen recordings of up to 5 minutes each, with recording quality up to 720p. Paid plans such as Business remove those limits and add editing, and Loom AI features are offered on higher tiers. Check loom.com/pricing for current prices.
