GoFullPage - Full Page Screen Capture is a Chrome extension from Full Page LLC that takes full-length screenshots of web pages and exports them as PNG, JPEG or PDF. Capturing is free; a premium editor is a paid add-on.

2 min read

A normal screenshot only captures what fits on your screen. GoFullPage scrolls through the whole page for you and stitches the parts into one tall image.

How it works

  1. Click the extension icon or press Alt+Shift+P.
  2. Watch it scroll through each part of the page. Give it a moment on long pages.
  3. A new tab opens with your screenshot, ready to download as an image or PDF, or simply drag it to your desktop.

The capture engine also handles tricky layouts, such as inner scrollable elements and embedded iframes. If a page is too large for Chrome to store as a single image, the extension tells you and splits it into several images in separate tabs.

Export options

From the options page you can choose PNG or JPEG, or PDF in various paper sizes, and configure automatic downloads.

What’s free and what isn’t

Capturing and exporting full pages is free, and the developer highlights that it requests no extra permissions and shows no ads. A premium editor for cropping, annotating and adding emojis is offered as a paid upgrade.

Installing it

  1. Click Download to open GoFullPage on the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Add it to Chrome and pin the camera icon.
  3. Open the page you want and press Alt+Shift+P.

The extension grew out of an open-source project that is still on GitHub. For screenshots with annotation and screen recording, compare Awesome Screenshot; for video messages, see Loom.

Pros

  • Reliable full-page captures
  • Handles inner scroll areas and iframes
  • PNG, JPEG and PDF export

Cons

  • Editing and annotation need the paid editor
  • Very long pages are split into several images
