HeidiSQL is free, open-source database software for MariaDB, MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Interbase, Firebird, ProxySQL and Redshift. It runs on Windows, Linux and macOS.
Most content sites, WordPress included, keep their data in MySQL or MariaDB. HeidiSQL gives site owners and developers a direct, visual way into that database: browse tables, fix a broken option, export a backup or run a query.
Supported databases
HeidiSQL connects to MariaDB, MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Interbase, Firebird, ProxySQL and Redshift. A connection can go over an SSH tunnel, which is how many people reach a database on a VPS.

- On Windows, choose the installer or the portable zip. You can also install it with

- On macOS, there is an arm64 app bundle.

HeidiSQL is free and open source. The project accepts donations but does not sell a paid edition.

- Portable Windows version
Cons
