Feather is a free, open-source (BSD-3-Clause) Monero desktop wallet for Linux, Tails, Windows 10 or later and macOS 12 or later. It is small and fast, works with selected Ledger and Trezor hardware wallets and is downloadable over clearnet, Tor and I2P.
Feather is a lightweight Monero (XMR) wallet for desktop computers. It is designed to be easy for beginners while offering a feature set comparable to Monero’s official command-line wallet.
Why people choose Feather
- Small and fast: Runs well on modest hardware, virtual machines and live systems such as Tails.
- Sensible defaults: Works out of the box, but can be tuned for unusual threat models.
- Network privacy: The website and downloads are available over clearnet, Tor (onion) and I2P.
- Hardware wallets: According to Feather’s documentation, it supports the Ledger Nano S, Nano S+, Nano X, Stax and Flex, and the Trezor Model T, Safe 3 and Safe 5. The Trezor Safe 7 is not currently supported.
Feather is non-custodial: your seed and keys stay on your computer.
Platforms
- Linux: x64, ARM32 (Raspberry Pi), ARM64 and RISC-V, as AppImage, standalone file or Flatpak.
- Tails / Whonix: a dedicated AppImage.
- Windows: 10 or later (installer or standalone).
- macOS: 12 or later, Intel or Apple Silicon.
There is no Feather app for phones.
