Cake Wallet is a free, open-source (MIT), non-custodial wallet from Cake Labs for iOS, Android and Linux. It supports Monero, Bitcoin and Lightning, Litecoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, Zcash and other networks, with Tor integration and hardware wallet support.
Cake Wallet started in 2018 as the first Monero wallet for iPhone and has since added Bitcoin and many other coins, while keeping a focus on privacy.
Non-custodial and open source
Cake Wallet is non-custodial: only you hold the private keys and seed phrase. Cake says plainly that it cannot access, freeze, reverse or recover your wallet. The app is open source under the MIT licence, with code on GitHub (cake-tech/cake_wallet).
Supported coins
Monero, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Lightning, Litecoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Zcash, Zano, Decred, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin and Nano.
Privacy features
- Bitcoin privacy: Silent Payments and Payjoin.
- Litecoin MWEB: Support for Litecoin’s privacy extension.
- Tor: Built-in Tor for network-level privacy.
- No account: Cake says there is no account, logging or analytics.
- Hardware wallets: The app supports hardware wallets.
Sending costs only the network fee. In-app swaps and buying or selling go through third-party providers whose fees are built into the quote you see.
