YouTube Music App: Official Download for Android and iPhone

YouTube Music is Google’s music service, and what sets it apart is the catalogue: alongside studio albums it can surface live performances, covers and remixes that are hard to find elsewhere, as the store listing itself points out. If you already use YouTube, your history helps shape the recommendations.

Free or Premium?

You can listen for free with ads, in a limited way. A paid YouTube Music Premium plan removes ads, allows background play and lets you save songs for offline listening. Prices and plan types differ by country and are shown in the app. Compare it with Spotify if you are choosing a service.

Install it

Download from Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone and sign in with a Google account. Pick a few favourite artists to start. Under Settings, you can set download quality and whether downloads use only Wi-Fi.
