Monopoly GO: How to Install the Official Mobile Board Game

Monopoly GO keeps the look of the classic board game but plays more like a casual mobile loop: roll, move, collect and build, with extra mini-events on the side.

How it plays

Instead of buying every street, you roll to travel round the board and trigger actions on the squares you land on. Rolls come from a limited supply that refills over time, so sessions are short and spread through the day.

• Landmarks: You build up boards of landmarks and finish them for rewards, then move to the next board.
• Social play: You can connect with friends, trade stickers and take part in partner events.
• Events: Limited-time tournaments and quests give extra rewards.

Getting it safely

The official Monopoly GO site links to the Apple App Store and Google Play listings. Use those links, and sign in with the account method inside the game to keep progress. Be careful with websites that promise free dice or stickers: they are often scams designed to take your login.

Costs

The game is free to download. Scopely sells dice and other items as in-app purchases, and the limited supply of rolls makes the shop hard to ignore. Set purchase approval or a monthly cap if the app is on a shared device.
