Manager Accounting Software: Free Desktop Edition Download

Manager is small-business accounting software that works offline and keeps your data on your own computer. Its Desktop edition is fully featured and free, with no trial period, no ads and no registration.

What it covers

• Invoicing and quotes
• Expense tracking and purchase orders
• Bank reconciliation
• Inventory management
• Payroll
• Reports such as profit and loss, balance sheet and tax reports

It supports multiple businesses and currencies and dozens of languages, including right-to-left ones.

Three editions

• Desktop: one user on one computer, free. Data is saved automatically, and a business can be backed up to a single file and restored on Windows, macOS or Linux.
• Server: you run it on one computer that stays on, and your team uses it from a web browser on the local network. It needs no separate database. The first sign-in uses an administrator account, and you then add users with their own permissions.
• Cloud: the same features as Server, hosted by Manager’s developer, and not free.

Download and install

1. Use the Download button to open manager.io, or get the build for your system from the official GitHub releases page, which also keeps older versions.
2. Install it, open the app and create your first business.
3. Start with the built-in guides at manager.io/guides if you are new to the program.

Licence

Manager describes itself as source-available, not open source. It is licensed under the Functional Source License 1.1 with an Apache 2.0 future licence, meaning each version becomes available under Apache 2.0 two years after release.
