Dashlane — Password Manager is the official Chrome extension from Dashlane SAS. It saves and autofills logins, payment details and personal information; personal plans (Premium, Friends & Family) are paid, with a free trial.
Dashlane is a password manager from Paris-based Dashlane SAS. Its Chrome extension is where most of the everyday work happens: saving logins as you browse, filling them later and filling forms with your personal and payment details.
What the extension handles
- Logins: unlimited logins stored in your vault, saved automatically and filled on the right sites.
- Password generator: creates strong, unique passwords and updates entries when you reset them.
- Payments and personal info: fills names, addresses, emails, phone numbers and payment cards.
- Sync: vault data syncs across your devices, including phones and computers on different systems.
Some features live in the Dashlane web app rather than the extension, such as secure sharing and the Password Health score that flags at-risk passwords.
Plans and pricing
Dashlane’s personal pricing page lists two paid plans: Premium for one person and Friends & Family for up to 10 people. There is a free trial, but no permanent free plan appears for personal users. If you need a free manager, see Bitwarden or Proton Pass.

The store listing discloses that Dashlane handles personally identifiable information, financial and payment information, authentication information, location, web history and user activity. Much of this is the data you ask it to store and fill, but it is worth knowing before you install.
