Zoom Workplace is the desktop and mobile app for Zoom meetings, team chat and whiteboards. The free Basic plan includes meetings of up to 40 minutes with up to 100 participants; paid plans remove those limits.
Whether it is a job interview, an online class or a family call, Zoom is often the link you receive. You can join from a browser, but the Zoom Workplace app gives you the full set of meeting tools.
What’s in Zoom Workplace?
- Meetings: Video calls with screen sharing, reactions, breakout rooms and virtual backgrounds.
- Team Chat: Persistent chats and channels alongside your meetings.
- Whiteboards: Shared digital whiteboards; the free plan includes three editable boards.
- AI features: Limited AI queries and meeting summaries are included even on the free plan.
Installing Zoom Workplace
- Zoom keeps all its installers in the official Download Center.
- Download Zoom Workplace for your computer; the Android app is listed on the same page and the iPhone app is in the App Store.
- Install it, then click Join a meeting and enter the meeting ID, or sign in with a free account to host your own.
