Roblox: Get the Free App for PC, Mac and Mobile

Roblox is less a single game than a library of them. Every experience is made by a player or a studio using Roblox Studio, so one evening can take you through an obstacle course, a role-playing town, a tycoon and a shooter without leaving the app. Fans of other social, creator-driven games might also look at Fortnite, which has a similar hub of community islands.

Installing it

1. Create or log in to a free Roblox account on the website.
2. Open the official download page from the button below and choose your device.
3. On a computer, joining any experience prompts the installer for the Roblox player; on a phone, install the app from the store.

Roblox’s download page lists Windows, Mac and mobile apps, and the player can also run on supported consoles.

Free, with optional spending

Joining experiences costs nothing. Robux is the paid currency used for avatar items and for passes or upgrades inside individual experiences, and each creator sets their own prices. Roblox Premium is an optional monthly subscription that adds a Robux allowance and a few extras.
