Jira is Atlassian's issue and project tracking software. The official Jira Cloud by Atlassian app is free on Android and iOS and works with Jira Cloud sites; Jira offers Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans.
Jira is where many software and IT teams plan sprints, track bugs and handle service requests. On computers Jira runs in the browser; the official mobile app, Jira Cloud by Atlassian, keeps you in the loop from a phone or tablet.
What the app does
- Notifications you can act on: get alerts about the projects that matter and respond straight from the notification.
- Work items: create and edit work items, add comments and attach files or photos.
- Summaries: see key metrics, project progress and priorities.
- Approvals and reviews: review and approve work items and assign reviews.
- Jira Service Management: handle service requests and report issues through forms on mobile.
Cloud or Data Center?
This app is for Jira Cloud (sites at an atlassian.net address). Atlassian has a separate mobile offering for Jira Data Center, the self-managed version, so check which edition your company uses before installing.
Install
- Install Jira Cloud by Atlassian from Google Play or the App Store (links on this page). The iOS version needs iOS 18 or later.
- Sign in with your Atlassian account and select your Jira site.
- Choose which notifications you want so the app does not overwhelm you.
Plans
Jira is offered in Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans. The free plan suits small teams getting started; paid plans add more users, permissions, automation and support. Atlassian does not offer a dedicated Jira desktop app; on a computer, use it in a browser such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
