Binance is a large global cryptocurrency exchange. Its official app runs on Android, iOS and Windows; US residents are served by the separate Binance.US platform instead of Binance.com.
Binance is a global crypto exchange with spot trading, derivatives and a long list of listed assets. The official app brings the account to your phone, and a desktop app is available for Windows.
What you can do in the app
- Spot trading: Buy and sell crypto against other coins or, where supported, local currency.
- Advanced products: Futures and other derivatives are offered only in some regions and carry a high risk of loss.
- Portfolio view: Balances, order history and deposit addresses in one place.
- Desktop app: The official download page offers a Windows client for a larger trading screen.
Who can sign up
Binance.com does not serve residents of the United States; Americans are directed to Binance.US, a separate company with its own app. Other countries also have restrictions or local entities, so check availability for your country on the official site before you deposit anything. Identity verification is required to use the platform.
How to install it safely
- Open binance.com/en/download, or use the Google Play link on this page. Binance.com is not listed in the US App Store.
- Check the developer name in the store and the address bar in your browser. Fake Binance apps and lookalike domains are a common scam.
- Enable two-step verification with an authenticator app, and store your password in a manager like Bitwarden.
Binance support never asks for your password, two-step codes or for you to send crypto to “verify” an account. Crypto prices are volatile and you can lose money. This page describes the app; it is not investment advice.
Pros
- Wide range of listed assets
- Windows desktop app available
- Advanced order types
Cons
- Not available to US residents
- Many products are region-restricted
- Derivatives are high risk
