Shazam is a free music recognition app from Apple Inc. It runs on Android and iOS, and its official site is shazam.com.
A great song comes on in a café and you have no idea what it is. Open Shazam, tap the big button and, a few seconds later, you have the title and the artist.
What does Shazam do?

Setup
- Shazam is an Apple app, but it is available on Android through Google Play as well as on the App Store.
- Allow microphone access so the app can listen when you tap the button.
- Optionally turn on Auto Shazam to keep recognizing songs in the background.
iPhone shortcuts and offline use
On iPhone you can also add Shazam’s music recognition to the Control Center and identify songs without opening the app. If you have no connection, Shazam saves the recording and finds the song once you’re back online.
