AVG AntiVirus Free is aimed at people who want a set-and-forget antivirus. Once installed, it scans what you open and download and keeps its virus definitions updated automatically.

Setup in a few minutes

1. Use the Download button to open AVG’s official download page.

What to expect from the free edition

The PC version runs on Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 or 7, both 32-bit and 64-bit (Starter and RT editions are not supported), with 4 GB of RAM and 2 GB of disk space. On ARM processors, it needs Windows 11.
